Well done to Mary Varndell, Terry Varndell, Ric Newson and Hazel Marke (Alton Social) who are the 2016 Champion of Champions at the Dorset Bowls Resort. This tournament contains the winners of the various tournaments staged throughout the indoor season and the rink qualified for it last November when they won the Bowls Hampshire title on the BH Mini Tour. The team won all three of their group games, including a comprehensive win over the current and twice champions Cove BC. The final, however, against Bishop Duppas BC began badly but somehow an 0-8 deficit was pulled back and with the teams going into the last end all square a three saw our side lift the title.

The Club's congratulations go also to Nicole Rogers and Ashley Nethercliffe who playing at Loddon Vale in the Hampshire Finals of the English Bowls Youth Development Scheme have both qualified for the Regional Finals. Nicole was the overall winner with Ashley being narrowly beaten for second place
