East of Exe mixed league
East of Exe League Team
As you will be aware, we have successfully registered a team in the above league.
We have previously asked for names of those Members who would be interested in playing in order to establish if there was sufficient interest, but now having been accepted into the league and with further information available, we would now like to know the names of those that would definitely like to participate.
The East of Exe league is a mixed league. Played over 4 rinks (fours). There needs to be at least one male/female on each rink.
It is usually played on a Monday evening starting at 6.30pm or earlier if everyone is ready. In view of this and as 6 matches will be played away, clearly players need to ensure that they will be free to leave in good time to get to the venue.
It is played over 18 ends. Straight in, with one shot awarded on the first two ends. A light snack is served afterwards, typically pasty and beans.
So if you would like to participate, would you please put your name down on the list which will be posted on the Club Secretary’s board today.
The matter has to be considered at the next Executive meeting on the 9th January, so the closing date for names to be submitted is SUNDAY the 6th of January 2019.
East of Exe Selection Committee
Our entry into the East of Exe league will be treated as a separate entity to the other leagues and will have its own Selection Committee, which will comprise of three persons (mixed) and applicants are sought for these roles.
If you would like to be considered for the role of a selector for the East of Exe league, would you please put your name down on the separate list which is also on the notice board.
Again, the closing date for names to be submitted is Sunday the 6th of January 2019 and the Executive will contact the three successful applicants after the next Executive Meeting.
