Julie, our Match Secretary explained that the bad weather had seriously affected the ability to play matches with some being postponed several times or being unfinished. This had an impact on the final Division tables with some teams having played more matches tan others. Overall our teams competed well and had some great matches (You can read about them on Spond). Many thanks to all our players for playing their matches in difficult conditions and especial thanks to the individual team captains for persevering through the Winter. Spring is upon us and the next season awaits.
Murray, our Secretary has conducted the research that has helped us select the company to carry out the resurfacing of Court 1 and 2. Work will start on Tuesday 7th April, lasting 5-6 weeks, after a power clean took place on Thursday 2nd April.
We continue with our aim of being able to submit grant funding applications in April and June, which Murray is spearheading, for the canopy project and LTA Gate Access system. In order to secure such funding we will need to alter our Club constitution and renew and extend our lease from Alton Town Council.

So I think the team has put in a great amount of effort in getting things done. I would also like to say what a very good attendance and reception we had at the Club Q&A session in January which we held at Cardiac Health to accommodate numbers. Thankyou for coming out and all your questions.
Now you will have seen we are calling a special EGM for 22nd April at our Club House - do please attend - as we do need to alter our Constitution slightly to enable us to move forward in obtaining grant funding for our future projects.
Please do bear with things while the re-surfacing takes place and please watch out for the Contractor's signs as you will need to access Court 3 and 4 by a different route for everyone's safety.
We are looking forward to our brand new courts for the Summer season and the Club Tournament that will be kicking off in May If you have any ongoing questions please contact a member of the Committee,
My Best Regards Roger (Chair)
