Elkesley Conservation Area update

The planning workload at the LPA is extremely high at the moment so we haven’t been able to progress ancillary projects such as allocating new CA’s. In terms of next steps:

1. We would need to write up a draft Conservation Area Appraisal & Management Plan, which will then go out for consultation. This will include a boundary, questionnaires, and a public question and answer session;
2. Following the consultation, make any amendments needed to the appraisal and boundary, then take to planning committee for approval of both;
3. Notify all properties within the Conservation Area boundary of the designation.

Sadly we don’t have a timescale for the above, but that’s the process we need to follow.
