YMCA Children’s Residential Services

Career opportunities are available in Nottingham, Goole, and Newark, giving looked-after children a fair chance to discover who they are and what they can become. YMCA Residential Service stands out from other care providers in several important respects:

  • We house children and young people in nurturing, family-style homes that never feel institutional.
  • YMCA’s model of care has recently transitioned from trauma-informed to fully therapeutic, meaning that all children access a level of clinically led therapy, bespoke to their needs.
  • We are not-for-profit, meaning we don’t have to worry about shareholders. Our decisions are made for the benefit of the young people in our care.
  • Children and young people in residential care can enjoy the full array of YMCA services, giving them the chance to belong, contribute, and thrive.

Working within this unique structure is a chance to embark on the next step of an exciting career, learn new professional skills, and make a huge difference in the lives of young people. Residential care is not easy, as the children and young people are on long journeys of healing that can become complicated at times, so we’re looking for caring individuals who are also resilient and robust.

If any of the roles below chime with you, get in touch to discuss your career, or visit our website to learn more!
