Well, the 2020 season has finished and what can we make of it? Stopped before it had started by Coronavirus, we gently eased our way back into playing some form of bowls by following guidance from Bowls England. We managed to play a number of different formats as members became more confident of playing which was good to see.

As the lockdown eased, we also welcomed Mike, Tara and Jonathan Hartman as new club members which was another fillip for us

Despite the best attempts of the weather to cause disruption, the green renovation was completed with a good number of club members pitching in to help and, on behalf of the green keeping team, I would like to offer our grateful thanks to all who turned up to help, whether it was for one day or many and also to those who offered help who we didn't need to call upon. This shows that we have a club spirit that is second to none

So, what can we expect from 2021? I can only say that, at this point in time, is that I really don't know but I hope that we can get bowling again in some form or another.

Take care everyone
