END OF SEASON WORK BEGINS

As he awoke this morning to heavy rain, President John must have feared that his programme of end of season work on the green was going to get off to a bad start. However, having stood down his working party, the weather improved around 9 am and a small group of members did an excellent morning's work. Not only did they ensure the green was scarified in both directions but the rubber mats were removed from the ditches and brushed off and are now ready to be power washed later in the week. The areas of grass outside the hedge were also cut. There is a huge amount of work still to be done but a good start has been made.
