Saffron Walden's run in the County Shield ended by the narrowest of margins last night against Bocking Alliance. The score from the two rinks at Bocking and the two rinks at Saffron Walden was tied 73-73, therefore the game was decided by the extra end. As Bocking were the challengers this was played at Bocking who held on to win in an exciting finish and now play Silver End in the semi-final.

You can get to Abbey Lane either at the traffic lights on the high street or from going down Gibson Way and turning left at the end. You enter a single lane part of the road and once you have passed the King Edward Almshouses on your right you will see a car park, also on your right, and then the clubhouse.
