There will be an extraordinary meeting of Claydon with Clattercote Parish Council on Tuesday 3rd February 2026 in the Church Room, Claydon, starting at 7.30pm.

This extraordinary meeting of the Parish Council has been called to discuss and agree a response to Oxford County Council’s proposal to introduce a 13-tonne maximum weight limit restriction on the Claydon Canal Bridge over the Oxford to Birmingham Canal at Claydon ‘Middle Lock’, replacing the existing historic 3-tonne weight limit.

All parishioners are warmly invited to attend.

The Parish Council will be sending its comments on this application to Oxfordshire County Council, but all residents are encouraged to comment on this application using this link by Friday 13th February 2026: https://letstalk.oxfordshire.gov.uk/claydon_canalbridge_13tonne2026
