The Met Office has extended an Amber Extreme heat warning, as temperatures look to build later this week and early next week for much of England and Wales. The current warning only extends to midnight on Sunday, but interactive maps show Monday could be far worse, with parts of the South touching 40C, which in itself will be record breaking.

Please keep an eye on elderly neighbours/relatives during this warmer weather. If you have vulnerable family, friends or neighbours, make sure they are aware of how they can keep themselves protected from the warm weather.

Government advice is that 999 services should be used in emergencies only; seek advice from 111 if you need non-emergency health advice.
