SEVERAL members of the club have qualified for the English Bowling Federation national finals at Skegness next month (August 18-25) following the Northants Bowling Federation finals hosted by the club.

Graham Agger achieved a county title double by winning the Champion of Champion singles and teaming up with Roger Stevens and Martin Welsford to win the three-bowl triples.

County president Tony Mace and his wife Rita won the senior mixed pairs, beating another club member in Fred Richardson, who was partnered by his wife Fiona (City of Peterborough), and Jack Corney retained the under 25 open pairs title with a new partner in Stephen Harris (Blackstones).

There were defeats in finals for Zack Brown in the under 25 singles and Rita Mace in the Champion of Champions singles.

Lee Welsford, who shares his playing time between Whittlesey Manor and Parkway, qualified for the mixed triples in Parkway colours.
