Finally the New Green is Inaugurated
Malmesbury Bowls and Social Club
The new green was inaugurated on Saturday 18 July 2020 with three sets of triples being played.
John Smith, the Club President opened the new green (unofficially) as there will be a more formal opening in the future.
We were blessed with good weather and everyone enjoyed the experience of playing "socially distanced" bowls with old friends.
Thank you to the committee and everyone who helped put in place the arrangements for the bowls.
As John said "Let us hope this is the first of many games on the new green", whilst looking around for a volunteer to do the organising.
It was great to see the new green being used and the games attracted a lot of attention from passers by, so maybe we can look forward to some new recruits one day.

There are limited car parking spaces at the club. If possible, please park in Cross Hayes. It is a short walk from Cross Hayes, down Silver Street, to the club house.
