The Peglar Pairs is a longstanding club competition in honour of Former club stalwarts Lewis and Isobel Peglar who donated a trophy to be competed for. Yesterday, eleven pairs of bowlers played for three hours in glorious summer sunshine. Their ages ranged from 15 to 92 showing that bowls is a game for all ages. As usual, the green played perfectly thanks to the hard work of greenkeeper, Roger Reade.
After keen competition, there were three unbeaten teams but the team with the biggest shot difference in their favour was Ken Osborne and Terry Wilder so they were declared winners. Congratulations to them and thanks to everyone who took part and helped.
