Message from Bradenham Bowls Club

As we step into June, the Green is suffering slightly with the heat and lack of rain, much like everyones lawn. The green is playing quick and we think we've seen the last of the Magpies foraging for leatherjackets.

At the time of submission for printing, the season is well under way with a number games played and all our members, new and old, all involved in the action have enjoyed the team spirit and guidance from our older members.

Within the Age Concern League, we have played 3 matches with two wins and one loss. The Dereham & District league have played two with one loss and one win. The Green is playing reasonably well, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Green team under Phil Hayward.

Everyone is welcome to come and watch the games unfold and see the members in action. Roll ups/Drives continue every Sunday at 2.00pm for everyone to hone their skills before matches and an opportunity for new members to come and have a look and receive some free expert guidance. All we ask is you wear flat-soled shoes with no heels to protect the playing green.

Bradenham Fete was on Monday 25th May 2026 (Bank Holiday) and the club ran a Target Bowls stand for Adults and children. A very hot day (apparently the hottest recorded day in May, a new record)
