Flooding - Environment Agency update
This is an update from the Environment Agency.
Flood Alert in force: River Thames from Hurley to Cookham.
Flooding is possible for: River Thames from Hurley to Cookham including Harleyford, Bisham, Marlow and Bourne End.
Be prepared.
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are high on the River Thames as result of recent sustained rainfall. Therefore, flooding of roads, paths and farmland is expected to continue overnight and into tomorrow, 02/02/2021, especially in the areas between Henley and Marlow. Further light showers are possible overnight and into tomorrow. We expect river levels to remain high for the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are in the area checking defences and operating weirs to reduce flood risk. Please refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow, 02/02/2021, or as the situation changes.
