Flood warning for our villages

The weather forecast across Nottinghamshire over the coming days is for heavy rainfall over an already saturated catchment, which may bring the risk of flooding from both surface water and from small and large watercourses in the area. The Environment Agency is working hard along with our partners to prepare for any impacts the weather may bring. Our virtual Incident Room is open and Field Teams are on the ground clearing screens and grids ahead of the expected weather event.

Rainfall is expected from this afternoon, with widespread totals of 50mm over the next three days. Impacts from the rainfall could be experienced into the weekend. Multi-agency partners are meeting to discuss resilience and response across the county in preparation.
