Free bus travel for young people and families
Young person's passes
If you're in years 6 to 13 at school and you live or go to school in Kent, you can travel by bus for free this summer as part of the Reconnect programme.
If you go to school in Kent, you should receive a printed or digital bus pass from your school or college before the end of the summer term. If you don't, from 20 July you'll be able to order a digital one on this page, or if you don’t have a suitable mobile phone, you can pick up a printed bus pass from a collection point.
Family passes
If you have children and can't get them to summer activities because of a lack of transport, our family pass is for you.
As part of the Reconnect programme, our family pass allows a family of up to 4, who live in Kent, to travel by bus for free this summer. Either 1 adult and 3 children or 2 adults and 2 children can travel for free using the pass.
You'll be able to order a digital family pass on this page, or pick one up from a collection point from 20 July.
Using your bus pass
Once you get your bus pass, you’ll be able to use it as many times as you like between 23 July and 31 August 2022. You'll be able to use it to board buses in Kent up to 9pm each day.
Family passes cannot be used by an adult without a child or by an child without an adult and cannot be transferred to another family.
These passes are only valid for journeys in Kent. They cannot be used to travel into or out of the county.
You must show your bus pass to the driver when getting on the bus and you must keep the pass with you at all times.
This offer has been made possible thanks to the generous support of Kent’s bus operators.
