After success against holders Old Basing in the first match of this year's Fuller/Ambler Trophy at Loddon Vale, Oakley came down to earth with a huge bump this evening. Playing against AWRE, the Oakley team of Steve Devonish, Malcolm Grime, Sean Lassman and Graham Tompkins failed to get out of the blocks and after 10 ends they trailed by 11 shots to 1. The remainder of the game was more closely contested but eventually Oakley went down to defeat by 18 shots to 8.
