Fun, frolics and friendship with Circle of Friends CIC

There were a few mystified looks at The Ridge Golf Club when 19 of our ‘lovely oldies’ arrived for a game of crazy golf, armed with sun cream, sun hats and, most importantly, Blu Tack!

Blu Tack has become a firm favourite when bending down to retrieve the ball from the hole is no longer quite as easy as it used to be. Simply attach it to the end of the club handle and, hey presto, the ball can be retrieved without risking a faceplant!

There were plenty of laughs throughout the day, including Pujan, deciding the Blu Tack was better suited to his forehead than his club, and Cliff, spending rather too much time leaning over the water hazards to retrieve his ball.

Despite a few wobbly moments, everyone had a wonderful time. We were looked after brilliantly by team at The Ridge Golf Club, who made us feel so welcome, and the day ended with a lovely lunch.

Congratulations to Margaret, our well-deserved winner, who took home the very prestigious (and completely no-expense-spared) Circle of Friends Crazy Golf Trophy!
