We still get quite a few people asking if the residents' association can help them get gas tanks back because they don't like the bottles.

Some people have even said they have spoken to Calor and have been told they can have their own tanks and just pay direct with Calor.

Just to clarify the situation.

Calor have told us they will not offer anyone a private supply arrangement of any nature. They said that they terminated the contract to supply homes at Dunton because they have issues with safety on site. So, the idea we might be able to get tanks ourselves is not an option.

We know a lot of people favoured bulk tanks but it's out of our hands because Calor stopped the service here and won't come back.

We appreciate that some people physically can't check their gas bottles to see if one has run out, so for those less-able, our Helping Hands scheme can check your bottle periodically to keep an eye on things.

Special thanks to Laurie for offering to help with this.

If anyone needs our help please send us a message.
