People of Maidstone are being encouraged to get their Covid-19 vaccine or booster this weekend at a pop up vaccination ‘walk-in’ clinic bus which is being set-up by MBC and the NHS Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) tomorrow and next week.

The first walk in clinic will be held tomorrow (Saturday 15 January), in the Lockmeadow car park and Maidstone Borough Council is encouraging everyone shopping or working in the town to take advantage of the Covid-19 vaccine service which does not require an appointment. Open between 10am and 4pm the Covid-19 vaccine bus will be available to anyone aged 16+ although proof of age will be required.

Both first and second doses along with booster vaccines will be available during the day when no appointments will be needed. (National guidance is for the second dose to be a minimum of eight weeks from the first dose, and boosters three months after the second dose.)

The Covid vaccination bus will be visiting various areas as a walk-in clinic around Maidstone with others to follow in the next couple of weeks:

Saturday 15 January – Lockmeadow, Barker Road, rear car park -10am – 4pm
Tuesday 18 January – Lockmeadow, Barker Road, rear car park – 10am – 1pm
Tuesday 18 January – MidKent College, Oakwood Park Campus, 2pm – 5pm
Saturday 22 January - Jubilee Square, Maidstone – 10am -4pm
