Although we can't go out and show our appreciation to the veterans of the war in the normal way we can still do things to mark this very special moment. In autumn last year the Parish Council decided to create a poppy trail from the Memorial on Hamble Lane (opposite Ensign Way) up to Spitfire Way. We have watch with bated breathe to see if they would bloom in time for Friday and I'm delighted to say that the first poppy has opened today. I hope many more will come out over the next few days and week to create a Remembrance Trail.

Let us know what you'll be doing on Friday to mark the occassion - putting up bunting, having a tea party, doing so old time dancing in the garden. Whatever you do have fun, stay home, be safe.
