The Chaiman of the Council's Transport, Access & Environment Committee was happy to announce that two grants have been awarded to Swaffham under the NCC Parish Partnership scheme: -

  • New signs will go up on Brandon Road to guide motorists to Theatre Street free car park via Haspells Road and Cley Road. This should limit the build up of cars in the town centre and encourage people to park and visit our shops, pubs and cafes. The Town Council wants this work to begin soon as the ‘staycation’ traffic begins to build up this summer.
  • Bears Lane will benefit from the second grant awarded to Swaffham, this time with work to improve the surface of the Lane and make it easier for use by walkers and cyclists.
