There was concern that the weather might lead to a need to cancel this evening's National Double Fours match vs Andover and that the result might have to be decided by the toss of a coin but fortunately the heavy afternoon rain abated and the match began on time Andover had the better of the early stages and at 6 ends led by one shot. The match remained close and although by 12 ends Oakley had sneaked into a four shot lead it remained any one's game to win .It was Oakley however, which had much the better of the final stages eventually winning overall by 35 shots to 22. Oakley scores: Steve Devonish, Gerald Norris, Sean Lassman and Graham Tompkins won 16-12, Jamie Fewtrell, Malcolm Grime, Ric Newson and Martin Vickers won 19 10. In the next round Oakley will play Aldershot Traction.
