GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN

Croquet Club members were delighted to welcome to a buffet supper, the final social event of their 2024 Season, held on Friday 26th September, one of the founding members of the Club, Pat Field, who has recently left the village, with her husband Richard, to live in Ripon. An extremely well known and well regarded couple in the village, Richard was the instigator of the website for the village and although he has now retired, his legacy is ongoing, not just “virtually”, but in several other clubs now well established within the community. The chairman of the Club, Jill Barraclough, wished Pat and Richard all happiness in their new home and looked forward to seeing them on the croquet lawns next year.

Those warmest of wishes can be added to those of the whole village, who will be pleased to hear that Pat says “Richard is doing very well”. Get well soon Richard.
