THis morning at Malshanger our Ladies took on Hook BC in the National Top Club Competition, where four separate disciplines earn one point and if at the end there are two wins for each side the winner is the side with the best aggregate score. The Singles discipline can be critical in this event and there was a tense battle between two fellow Johns Trophy players with Mary Taylor eventually emerging triumphant against Muriel Sadler. This put Oakley in pole position as the Fours were winning heavily and both the Triples and Pairs were leading. When the Triples secured the second point it was really only a matter of time and Hook conceded the other two disciplines with an end still to play on both matches. Oakley therefore won 4-0

Oakley Scores: Mary Taylor won 21-17, Christine Williams and Janie Vickers won 19-13 , Sue Dixon, Val Ryan and Ruth Bown won 22-14, Camila Kingshott, Angie Rowe, June Harvie and Kay Kerley won 22-12
