Following a recent unexpected phone call, Gordon Ball was asked to play for Bowls England at Royal Leamington Spa in a game against Friends of Bowls England last Thursday.

Apparently, news of Suffolk winning the County Championship had reached BE headquarters and Gordon was asked partly becaused he had played in some of the matches and also as he is due to be next year's County President, which he is actively looking forward to.

A great day out was topped off by a rink win as well!
