A big thank you to everyone who contributed to yet another successful Art Weeks in our lovely Village. The main venue was the Church this year which was beautifully decorated by The Flower Ladies. A special thank you to Mandy for arranging this.

Many of you made cakes and worked a shift in our Pop up cafe. Others contributed items of food or made a cash donation to buy various items of food for the Cafe.

Again we were very lucky with the weather, staying dry each day and therefore had a constant stream of visitors to the Art Weeks exhibition and our Pop up Cafe. We now have regular visitors who come each year to support the Artists and come to enjoy the wonderful food in the Cafe (their words - not mine). Let's not forget also the many villagers who come to the Cafe and support this event.

This year we took a staggering £3,500. Of course we have expenses, extra food, Reading Room Hire, flowers for the Church and part payment of the Artists Fees to enter Oxfordshire Art Weeks. Even after this, approximately £2,500 will be added to the Community Fund.

As you know all the money in the Community Fund is spent within the Village. If you have any ideas of something you would like to see in the Village please contact us, we are happy to support you.

A special thanks to Pauline and Mandy for helping me arrange this event and to all of you who contributed in various ways- without you we couldn’t do it.

Best Wishes
Pam
