As you will all be aware we have been very busy over the past few months working on the ditches around the green and levelling up the edges, in addition we have been repainting the exterior of the clubhouse and replacing the shed amongst other jobs.

As a result of the work to level up the edges we will need to give the grass a bit longer to grow and establish before we can use the full playing area.

However, we currently plan to open the green for Roll Ups with effect from Tuesday 21st April (10-12) with the following rules in place for the first few weeks:-
1. Short Jacks Only.
2. No firing shots.
3. Skips to stop bowls rolling onto "under repair areas" treat it like the ditch.
4. No pushers on the green.
5. Access and exit to the green will be via the corner grass slope (near the gate).

We must keep off the borders around the green to give it the best chance to establish.

We have also switched the first home game versus Sevenoaks to be an Away match.

All of the above will give us a few more weeks for the grass to grow and establish before it is cut and rolled and the full playing area opened (hopefully) in early May.

I am sure you will agree that the short term inconvenience is worth the long term improvement to the playing area.

Thanking you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
