Collingham Green Vision Group's first Litter Pick as part of the Great British Spring Clean event was a great success.
Saturday 29th May saw wonderful support from the community.

Rosemary Fabian, Chair of Collingham Parish Council and founder member of the Collingham Green Vision group said...

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all who supported and participated in todays event.
It was amazing to see just how many people came out to show support for the village.

I really enjoyed meeting you all and was thrilled to see the children not only participating in the picking but also the recycling game where not only the children but some of the parents learned what should and what should not go in your recycling bin.

I feel that we did not record true numbers because at times it was very busy however I know that we had at least 37 Adults and 12 children.

Lots of rubbish was collected and some 20 large bags were left for collection by Newark and Sherwood District Council tomorrow (Sunday 30th) this is after some of the less full bags were combined together.

I have had permission from a great many of the pickers to publish photos.

Once again THANK YOU for making this event such a success."
