Message from Bradenham Bowls Club

Halfway through the season with 6 matches played in the Dereham League, we won 3 and lost 3. In the Age Uk League, we have two teams in, ‘A’ team have played 6, won 1, drawn 1 and lost 4. The ‘B’ team played 5 and lost 5. We had to abandon one match (a shame really as we were winning at the time) due to an afternoon Lightning and Thunderstorm which covered the green in hail and at one point the white jack ball could be seen.

In addition, with the Heatwave experienced across the country week commencing 22nd June all matches for that week were postponed and rearranged.

Irrespective of the result all members played to their best and in good spirit, which is credit to them and to the name of Bradenham Bowls Club.

The Green is playing well, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Green team coordinated by Phil Hayward.

Roll ups/Drives continue every Sunday at 2.00pm for everyone to hone their skills before matches and an opportunity for new members to come and have a look and receive some free expert guidance. All we ask is you wear flat-soled shoes with no heels to protect the playing green.
