Hamble Parish Council Needs You!

Are you passionate about Hamble and want to get involved? Do you have some spare time? Do you want to work as part of a team at the heart of your community? Instead of sitting on the side lines come and join the team of dedicated councillors.

We have a vacancy on the Council and are looking for a local person to get involved. The role involves a number of meetings – some in the evening and others during the day – as well as getting involved with other initiatives during the year. If successful, you will sit on the council through to May 2021 when local elections will be held and have the opportunity of serving for a further four years if elected. An ideal taster to test whether the role is for you!

Click here to download the information pack and application form in PDF format. This also confirms the criteria you have to meet to be able to join – such as being a EU resident, being over 18 and living or working in the parish or within 3 miles of it for the last 12 months.

Applications will need to be with the Parish Office by Monday 31st August 2020 and those that meet the criteria will be asked to come along to our September meeting on the 14th at 7.00pm. At the moment the meeting is scheduled to be a virtual one.
