We were delighted today to host the National Mixed Over 60's match between Hampshire and Oxfordshire. As the 2025 runners up, Hampshire probably started as favourites but by 6 ends Oxfordshire led 37-32 and increasing their lead to 11 shots there was concern amongst the Hampshire supporters that this year's campaign might be coming to an end. A Hampshire rally eased that concern but by 12 ends only 2 shots separated the teams. Hampshire, however, had the better of the later ends winning 118-93. Well done to the players on both sides but particularly to Ric, our men's captain, who played on a winning rink.
Hampshire skips scores: Mike Squires won 23-18; Sue Dyson lost 21-24; Margaret Holden won 23-10; Jim Marsland won 20-14; Chris Daniels won 19-9; Andy Anderson lost 12-18.
