The committee of our group wish all the residents in and around Whitchurch and Hengrove a Happy and Healthy New Year!

    Who runs this group?

    • Local volunteers who live and work in our area. (Several met when we helped out during the pandemic).

    Why does the group exist?

    • We want to support the many groups and clubs that are run by volunteers or on a not-for-profit basis.
    • ·We are trying to focal point for useful information, from official sources, for the people in and around our area.

What have we done so far?

    • We have secured some funds to:
    1. Set up a small non-repayable grant scheme
    2. Set up a FREE taxi scheme for those who have been negatively impacted by the reduction of the bus services in our area
    3. We have set up a website with the contact details of local groups clubs and organisations. We have done this to fill a gap in what is otherwise available for local residents. www.whitchurchandhengrove.co.uk
    4. We have several social media platforms to share details of the above.
    5. We have supported the volunteers running the ‘Welcoming Spaces’ with access to funds and social media posts.
    6. We are hoping to build on the success of the first ‘’What’s on your doorstep?’’ in person event. An event where local people can find out what they may be unaware of in our area. The feedback from the first one was that it was well received.

What we are unable to do?

    • We cannot permit commercial advertising on our social media platforms. (However, local groups/clubs can have their contact details added to our website. It is FREE to be added. Please email whitchurchandhengrove@gmail.com with your group’s details.

If you like what we are doing ...

Please tell your friends and neighbours about us, particulaly about the FREE taxi scheme and our NON_REPAYABLE small grant scheme.

Want to know more about any of the above?

Please email whitchurchandhengrove@gmail.com if you have any other questions or queries.
