The following has been notified by Milton Keynes Citty Council:

We will be starting some drainage works in Hardmead from 23 April until 1 May.

This will include:

  • High pressure jetting of the drainage system
  • Replacing the old brick culvert with a new 22mm pipe (with concrete surround) from the manhole to the ditch.
  • Replacing the cover and frame
  • Remove old sandbag head walls and replace with new

To carry out these works safely, a road closure will need to be in place.

The closure will need to be 24 hours due to the open work site.

A diversion route will be signed and can be viewed on One.Network and I've attached the detailed maps to this email.

The first closure of the overall scheme will be at the side of No 12, The Close, Hardmead.

The second closure will be near Home Farm and will be in place from 9:30am to 4:30pm each day for up to 3 days while we investigate the culvert and carry out CCTV works.

We will be doing a letter drop to any affected properties over the next few days and advance warning signs will be in place 5 days beforehand.
