With a very hot temperature it was decided, in conjunction with Kelvin, Studley Entaco Captain, to serve squash and biscuits after 8 ends in case we decided to stop after 14 ends. However, in the end we played 18 ends.
Before we commenced play we had a minutes silence to remember our bowling friend, Brian Reeves, who sadly passed away on Thursday. We will miss you Brian.
The result of the match was a win on points for Solihull Municipal of 95-87, with both Clubs winning 3 rinks each. A very close game. Our best winning rink was Ken Osborne, Elaine Lea and Ron Robinson, who were each presented with a Solihull 50th Anniversary Pen. Each of our opposition also received an Anniversary pen.
Thank you to everyone who helped set up, and sort the raffle, etc, and WELL DONE TEAM.
