Social Enterprise Kent are working with Thanet district Council and Folkstone & Hythe District Council, to promote and raise awareness of the Home Upgrade Grant.
The grant supports homes not heated by gas, that are hard to heat, and where energy costs are a challenge. These homes could be eligible for free energy-efficiency improvements, through the government scheme, Home Upgrade Grant (HUG)
Eligible households can apply for a HUG which will fund a range of improvements which could include:
    · Insulation upgrades to help keep you warm in winter and cool in summer.
    · Ventilation upgrades to ensure good internal air quality.
    · A low carbon heating system such as an air source heat pump
    · An energy efficient hot water solution to keep your water warm for longer.
    · Solar panels (PV) to generate your own electricity.
If eligible, an assessment and full installation will be funded by the grant with no cost to the occupier or charge on the property.
