Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (HELAA)
As part of the Buckinghamshire Draft Local Plan consultation, a number of supporting documents have been published. One document that may be of particular interest to residents is the Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (HELAA).
The HELAA contains details of sites that have been submitted to Buckinghamshire Council through the previous call for Sites exercises. It assesses whether land may be suitable, available, and achievable for future housing or employment development. It is important to note that inclusion of a site within the HELAA does not mean that it will be allocated for development or receive planning permission. The assessment is intended to help inform the Local Plan process by identifying land that could potentially be developed in the future.
Several residents have asked where this information can be found, particularly in relation to sites within Aston Clinton. To make this easier, the Parish Council has provided a direct link to the HELAA document below. Residents who wish to understand which sites have been submitted for consideration, and how Buckinghamshire Council has assessed them, may find the HELAA a useful source of information alongside the Draft Local Plan consultation documents.
