Important Notice to Local Business

Important Notice to Local Businesses

It has come to the attention of Allendale Parish Council that an organisation calling itself Parishes UK has been contacting local businesses by email using the name “Allendale Parishes” and requesting information for the purpose of compiling a parish directory.

Allendale Parish Council would like to clarify that Parishes UK is not affiliated with, associated with, or acting on behalf of Allendale Parish Council. The Council has not authorised this organisation to contact local businesses in its name or to collect information on its behalf.

Local businesses are therefore advised to exercise appropriate caution when responding to correspondence from this organisation and to satisfy themselves as to the purpose and use of any information they may be asked to provide.

If you are contacted and are unsure whether correspondence is genuinely from Allendale Parish Council, please contact the Parish Clerk using the Council’s official contact details for confirmation. (clerk@allendaleparish.gov.uk)

The Parish Council has issued this notice to ensure that local businesses are aware of the distinction between the Council and this organisation and are not inadvertently led to believe that the correspondence has been issued or endorsed by the Parish Council.
