Improving Your Community Centre - Update

During the hot summer months, we have been continuing our improvement and repairs programme to ensure our Community Centre remains a high quality asset for the people of Colwick. The Centre provides a focal point for the community, hosting numerous groups delivering vital activity to local people of all ages. If you are looking for Yoga, Ceroc, Samba or just swinging into shape, Colwick Community Centre has a session for you. In addition, we are proud to host the St John's Pre-School providing a great start for local children and the Colwick Theatre Club with their productions that have entertained generations down the years. Private bookings also provide the Council with a vital source of revenue that helps us keep our Council Tax precept low as we strive to provide value for money for our residents.

This year we have just completed the renovation of the exterior of the Centre through the hard work of local firm, D&R Painting & Decorating Services. We have also improved the public areas within the Centre with new hard wearing, non-slip flooring.

Like the Forth Rail Bridge, this is a non-stop task, lead by the Community Centre Working Group and our fabulous Caretaker Tracey.
