The season coming to the end of the first month and the strain already beginning to tell. So far we have managed to fulfill our fixtures but with ilnesses ,injuies and holidays on us we are down to bare bones.

Our results are pretty good so far and some of our last seasons recruits are now settling in and making there presence fealt.

Last Saturday was a good team performance against Proprietory, paticularly on rink two where Rob Rose .Rose Hobbs.Reg Tring and Derek Fellows came storming back from a half time defecit to secure the point for Greasley.

With the club competitions now in full swing the next few weeks will be hectic.

As always the need to recruit new players is a constant problem but with some fine weather recently perhaps some brave souls may venture out and give the game a try .

One problem i have as secretary is the cascade of Data Protection material descending on me . Boiled down the amount of safegaurds a small bowls club needs is to make sure members are in approval of the club holding basic contact information. At our Pre-season meeting those present approved of this ,but as a safeguard i will circulate a form seeking your signiture to that end . Thank you
