In preparation for next year's local elections, Alton Town Council is going out and about, running a series of election roadshows. The first of these will be on Tuesday 16th October at Alton Social Bowls Club, Chawton Park Road from 7pm - 8.30pm. If you think you may be interested in standing for election next May, we would love you to come along and hear a short presentation on what we do and some of the projects we have delivered over the last four years to give you an idea of what the role of a Town Councillor entails. The presentation will be followed by a very informal session over light refreshments where you can speak to council officers and Members and ask any questions you may have.

We would stress that this is a really casual session; you are certainly not required to commit at this stage but just to get a feel for the role and see whether you think you might like to represent your community next year. All welcome!

Date for your diary...the second session will be held on Thursday 22nd November at Holybourne Village Hall at 7pm.
