The club's three teams continue to play in the East Kent Short Mat League which is reaching its conclusion with most teams only having three or four games left to play. At the time of writing the Acorns are lying in second place in Division 1. The Challengers are at the top of division 3 and the Courtneys are bottom but have played fewer games than all the other teams.

The club held its Annual Open Short Mat Competition on the weekend 24th and 25th January at the village hall and the event was a great success enojyed by all who attended. The triples on Saturday was won by Minster in Thanet and the runners up were Swalecliffe whose three members play outdoors for Boughton in the summer. In the pairs on Sunday the winners were one of two Boughton teams, Karen Gentry and Bob Holliday and the runners up were one of three teams from Kent Invicta in Sittingbourne.

The outdoor season begins again on the third weekend in April and the club, actively looking for new members, will be holding an open day in May

January lottery winners were; £25 No. 20 Mr M. Nichol

£15 No. 4 Mrs. L. Chapman

£10 No. 83 Mrs. M. Mellett
