Yesterday, on a foul and wet evening, almost 60 members turned out for the AGM which saw Mary Varndell, after a successful year as President, retire and Vice President Jim Fitzgerald installed as President. Founder member Peter Bown was elected Vice President and will be President in 2018 when the Club celebrates its 40th Anniversary.

The meeting, despite the Committee having tabled six propositions to alter the Constitution, was uncontroversial with all propositions being carried unanimously. Most propositions were tidying up ones, with the only signifcant ones being those that changed the Captaincy roles so that, in future, there will be a Club Captain with responsibilty for friendly matches with the competitive team games, other than leagues, becoming the responsibility of the Men's and Ladies' Captains. Hopefully this should ensure workload is better shared.

The resulting elections saw all the current Officers and Committee returned to serve another year with the only change seeing Trevor Wearn, after an absence from the Committee of one year, re-elected.
