JOB OPPORTUNITY – PARISH CLERK & RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER

Audlem Parish Council

Would you like to play a key role in supporting your local community?

Audlem Parish Council has been through a period of positive change over the last 18 months, with enthusiastic councillors, improved processes and a renewed focus on delivering the best possible services for the parish and its residents.

We are now looking ahead to the next stage of this development and are seeking to identify someone who would be interested in joining us as Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO). This is an opportunity to become part of a committed team, help shape the way the Council works and contribute to the future of the Audlem community.

The role offers variety and responsibility, combining administration, financial management and working closely with councillors, residents and local organisations. It is expected to be around 15–25 hours per week, with flexible, home-based working and attendance at meetings in Audlem.

We are looking for someone with a practical, common-sense approach, good organisational and IT skills, and an interest in helping a local council run effectively. Experience in administration and finance is important, while knowledge of local government and the CiLCA qualification would be beneficial. A willingness to work towards CiLCA would also be welcomed.

Could this be the opportunity for you?

At this stage, we would welcome informal conversations with anyone interested in learning more about the role, including the responsibilities, working arrangements and salary, ahead of the formal recruitment process.

For an informal discussion, please contact Cllr Carl Dovey, Chairman of Audlem Parish Council, at cllr.carl.dovey@audlemparishcouncil.gov.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you!
