Just what the doctor ordered
Tuesday 6 July saw the visit of Frampton-on-Severn. The skies were dark and foreboding at 18:20, ten minutes before the match was due to start, however, the weather changed for what proved to be a pleasant evening.
Malmesbury took control on two rinks and stayed in control for the whole match. John Smith, playing in Tim's rink, had a great game. Tim's rink won 23-6 and Roy's rink won 24-11. Ruby's rink was 6-12 down after 11 ends but managed to pull back and eventually win 18-16
Overall, Malmesbury won by 65-33 and took all 10 points. This win will reinforce Malmesbury's position at the top of the table.
Next week, the Malmesbury team is away at Olveston, on Tuesday 13 July.
Thank you to Margaret for operating the bar, helped by the internet working properly so the cashless payments were speedy. Thank you to Anna and Pete for providing the food.
