February 2022

FARNINGHAM, HORTON KIRBY & SOUTH DARENTH

In Horton Kirby we had a large disturbance with approximatly 200+ youths attending a party which got out of hand, this led to teenagers congreating in the street letting off fire extinguishers, throwing glass bottles at police vehicles and then jumping on the roof of Farningham train station and throwing concrete blocks towards police vehicles. This was attended by several police officers from all over the division aswell as British Transport Police, a large majority of the teenagers were contained in a space at the train station where they were either to get on a train or were to be picked up by their parents at our meeting point where they were informed about what the youths had been up too. CCTV was collected by officers and investigations on going to identify these involved, however we are aware that many of them came from Crayford, Dartford and Maidstone. Please encourage young people not to advertise having parties on social media.

General Information

Due to staff members leaving the team, we are now taking on and sharing the patches of West Kingsdown, Knatts Valley and Eynsford with another colleague.

My community voice - My Community Voice (MCV) is a two-way engagement tool set up by Kent Police for residents, businesses and community groups in Kent and Medway.

MCV will enable Kent Police to update users with news, alerts, appeals, engagement events and general policing activities.

Members of the public can choose what information they receive from us and how they receive it – whether that’s by email, text or voice mail. They can also share or reply to the messages they receive, enabling improved two-way communication, information sharing and problem-solving opportunities for the force.

I have added the link below as to how to sign up. Although this is an engagement tool it is not a reporting method. Please continue to report incidents by 999 if an emergency, 101 non-emergency or online via the Kent police website.
