Hi local parishes,

ASH

The police and RSPCA made a joint visit to Barnfield Park in regards to the welfare of 3 horses. One horse was taken due to the poor health conditions

A male who suffers from dementia was found by a member of public wondering around New Ash Green and was very confused at the time, the member of public waited with the male whilst a patrol arrived to take the male home. A next of kin number was located for him on our system and several questions were asked to be able to complete an at risk of going missing form incase the male were to go on a walk again. An adult protection referal was also submitted.

Safety advice has been given to a house in New Ash Green due to a burglary. Please ensure when you leave your house your windows and doors are shut and locked. Good deterents are security lights and CCTV/ring door bells. Please report any suspicious activity to 999 if an emergency or 101 non emergnecy.

Reports have been made of youths using catapults, these reports were not made to the police but to another agency, please report these incidents to us as if we do not receive the reports we are unaware of these incidents happening. In general I understand members of the public mention incidents on there facebook pages but do not report directly to us, we do not use facebook so will not see whats being mentioned on there.

FARNINGHAM, HORTON KIRBY, SOUTH DARENTH

Nuisance vehicles continue to be reproted at Farningham woods, VRMS of some vehicles have been given to us and we will look into where they are coming from and patrols are continuing to take place where possible. This month we saw an action day of several patrols from different departments including drones take place in hot spot areas including Farningham woods to combat the issues against nuiscance bikes, the results included several section 59 warnings given and some vehicles siezed. We will be holding more action days like this in the near future.

A report has been made of possible drug dealing taking place at Heathside, if you have any sightings of drug dealings or suspicious activity please call in on 101, if you manage to get any pictures of the individuals then let the call taker know and they can provide you with an email address to send it to so local officers can be aware.

A report was made to us regarding flytipping within the South Darenth area. We encourage, if you see any individuals flytipping to take down vehicle indexs and to take a picture of the flytipping taking place when/if it is safe to do so. Flying tipping should also be reported to the council.

Speed checks

Speed checks have so far taken place in New Ash Green- Ash road, Hartley- by the Black lion pub, Farningham- London road just before the speed limit changes to a national and Crockenhill- Seven Acres. Speed checks were carried out at these locations because members of the public expressed their concerns to us, if you would like us to carry out speed checks in particular areas do let us know. All reports will be sent to speed watch, these reports include the VRM of the vehicle and the speed travelling at the time.

We are finding that members of the public are not calling in incidents to us on 101 but are emailing us instead, as we are not on shift 24/7 we can go days without picking up our emails, all non emergency incidicents should be phoned in on 101, or reported online or via the live chat on the kent police website. All emergency incidents should be reported by ringing 999. We review all calls that come in on our areas so we will always see what has been called in and what hasn’t. As previously mentioned we do not use facebook so again we do not see what is discussed in the resident groups, we know that some issues are mentioned in these groups but do not get reported to us therefore we are unaware of the issues. Please do not email us regarding incidents that need to be reported in. Thank you for your understanding with this.

Many thanks

Local officers Lauren BRUCE and Arran OSTRIDGE
