A final round of applications for the Community Grant Scheme set up by Newark and Sherwood District Council is now open for limited time having received additional funding from the Council. The third round of the scheme is available for community-focused projects to apply for funding of up to £5,000 each until Wednesday 1 February.

From local sports clubs to Parish Councils, Councillors will approve applications to the scheme in a Cabinet meeting in February which will provide much needed funding to help improve the local community.

Local groups interested in applying for the scheme will need to submit an application form outlining how their project would support the Council’s Community Plan Objectives.

To submit an application form, please go to: www.newark-sherwooddc.gov.uk/communityfunding/

Each application will be considered by the relevant Council Portfolio Holder and suitable projects will be presented to Cabinet for approval to receive grant support from the additional £50,000, that has been made available.
