This morning's National Club Two Fours match against Farnborough was expected to be a difficult one against an in-form Farnborough who had, in earlier rounds, accounted for Basingstoke Town, Alton and Kingsclere. There was a late change in the Oakley team with Graham Tompkins coming in to replace Nick Hardy, at skip, but this did not seem to affect the hosts as by 6 ends they led 11-6. Scoring a 3 and a 2 on the 7th end saw Farnborough momentarily tie the match. However, in a closely fought and low scoring contest, Oakley, by 12 ends had moved out to a 7 shot lead. which, despite their opponents' determined efforts, Oakley never relinguished, winning 30- 19. Oakley scores: Leigh Allen, Fred Norris, Martin Vickers and Graham Tompkins won 15-11, Steve Devonish, Sean Lassman, Bob Goodyear and Ashley Nethercliffe won 15-8
